Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is a chronic condition characterized by excessive acid production in the stomach, leading to symptoms such as heartburn. Intedom-IT Capsule SR helps reduce stomach acid production and alleviates the discomfort associated with heartburn and acid reflux. It is important to take this medication as prescribed for it to be effective. Additionally, making some simple lifestyle adjustments can help manage GERD symptoms. Consider identifying and avoiding foods that trigger your heartburn, opting for smaller and more frequent meals, working on weight loss if necessary, and finding effective relaxation techniques. It's also advisable to refrain from eating within 3-4 hours before bedtime. Peptic ulcer disease occurs when painful sores or ulcers form in the inner lining of the stomach or intestine. Intedom-IT Capsule SR works by decreasing stomach acid production, helping to protect the ulcer as it heals naturally. Depending on the cause of the ulcer, your healthcare provider may prescribe other medications in conjunction. It is essential to continue taking the medication as directed, even if symptoms improve, to ensure its effectiveness.
Intedom-IT Capsule SR is a combination medication designed to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD, or acid reflux) and peptic ulcer disease by alleviating symptoms of acidity, including heartburn, stomach pain, and irritation. It works by neutralizing stomach acid and facilitating the passage of gas to minimize discomfort. This medication can be taken with or without food, and the dosage and duration should be determined by your doctor. Your prescribed dose will depend on your specific condition and how well you respond to the treatment. It’s crucial to continue taking this medication for as long as your physician advises, as stopping too soon may lead to a recurrence of symptoms or worsening of your condition. Please inform your healthcare provider about all other medications you are currently taking, as some may interact with this treatment. Common side effects include stomach pain, diarrhea, constipation, headache, gas, fatigue, and increased saliva production. Most side effects are temporary and should resolve over time. If you have any concerns about side effects, contact your doctor immediately. Be aware that this medication may cause dizziness and drowsiness, so avoid driving or engaging in activities that require focus until you know how it affects you. It is advisable to refrain from alcohol during treatment, as it can enhance drowsiness. Incorporating lifestyle changes, such as consuming cold milk and avoiding hot beverages, spicy foods, and chocolate, can further improve your results. Before starting Intedom-IT Capsule SR, inform your doctor if you have liver disease, and also disclose if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.
Intedom-IT Capsule SR is a combination of two medicines: Rabeprazole and Itopride. Rabeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). It works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which helps in the relief of acid-related indigestion and heartburn. Itopride is a prokinetic which works on the region in the brain that controls vomiting. It also acts on the upper digestive tract to increase the movement of the stomach and intestines, allowing food to move more easily through the stomach.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Intedom-IT Capsule SR is to be taken empty stomach.
